CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT
Manuela Victoria Giraldo
That’s it, I’m done,
I won’t try to make
this work anymore.
I was too curious for my own good,
and now I must pay the price,
completely alone.
The reason she always used to giggle at the
sight of her phone,
was because she was laughing at me.
I still remember how few days ago,
she left her phone unlocked,
I chose to look at her messages.
Horrible choice I made, for I discovered
something
that left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I am but a toy to her,
or at least that’s what she said to her boyfriend.
I am starting to feel, how do I say it?
Angry, to say the least.
And I’m packing my things as I taste my salty
tears.
Salty as the sea, and saltier than pure salt
itself.
I feel how suddenly
my anger overpasses my sadness,
and now, I am determined to do
one thing,
one little thing,
before I leave;
I am determined to Burn her,
Burn her with the same
flame of our love.
